Heat Pipes Application to Energy Saving Technologies
Increasing prices for fossil fuels and environmental problems such as global warming and pollution indicate the need for alternative and sustainable energy systems for cooling and heating of buildings. In this case thermal control is a need of any effective heat transfer and dissipation systems. Heat pipes (HP) have appeared as the most appropriate technology and cost effective solution. HPs have excellent heat transfer capabilities, high efficiency and often structural simplicity. HPs are autonomous devices and haven’t any mechanical moving parts. At present HPs could use as elements of different thermal systems in renewable energy technologies.
The main aim of this course is providing an opportunity for students to obtain competence and skills in the direction of heat pipes technology and heat pipes application to in renewable energy technologies.
