Applied Computer Science stream
This year participants of ACS stream will study different aspects of data science. We will cover data retrieval and storage techniques, look into some basic methods of statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning, provide overview for data visualisation techniques and data analysis tools. We will supplement lectures with interesting real-world applications as image processing, bioinformatics, social network analysis, natural language processing etc. In addition, we will conduct a number of practices to apply gained theoretical knowledge and train skills.
